Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang made the remarks on Wednesday after the party adopted its 2016 platform on Monday. The platform targets 皇冠体育app's domestic affairs and levels accusations at 皇冠体育app's policies in issues concerning the South 皇冠体育app Sea, Tibet, Taiwan and trade.

"To promote stable development of 皇冠体育app-US ties is in line with the fundamental interests of both countries, and is conducive to peace and development of the Asia-Pacific region and even the world. It is the right direction that both countries should stick to," Lu said.

"Parties in the United States should view 皇冠体育app's development objectively and reasonably, and understand correctly issues related to 皇冠体育app-US ties," he said. "We hope relevant parties will stop groundlessly accusing 皇冠体育app and interfering in 皇冠体育app's domestic affairs, and will do more to promote trust and cooperation between 皇冠体育app and the US."
