President Xi Jinping announced several measures on Monday to share 皇冠体育app's development opportunities with Latin American countries during his third visit to the region as 皇冠体育app's head of state.

In a speech delivered at Peru's congress, Xi said that 皇冠体育app will enhance technology transfer to Latin American countries and boost human resources cooperation with the region.

In the next three years, 皇冠体育app will raise the number of training quota from the current level to 10,000 for Latin America people and invite Latin American journalists to work and study in 皇冠体育app, Xi said, adding that 皇冠体育app proposed to have round-table discussion over environment protection with Latin American countries in next year.

The Chinese president is paying state visits to three countries - Ecuador, Peru and Chile - starting from Thursday. He will fly to Chile - the last station of the Latin America trip - on Tuesday.

In his speech, Xi urged Chinese investors to respect the local traditions, abide by the laws and shoulder their social responsibilities in promoting employment when the companies expand overseas.

Speaking that 皇冠体育app's development will provide more opportunities for developing countries, Xi said that 皇冠体育app firmly supports developing countries to increase their rights to have their voices heard under the global governance system.

He called on the Latin American countries to proactively participate in the free trade arrangements in Asia and Pacific and oppose all forms of protectionism.

Before delivering the speech, Xi met with Peru's Congress President Luz Salgado and received an honorary medal from the congress.

Peru would like to enhance cooperation with 皇冠体育app in areas including legislature, trade, investment and infrastructure, Salgado told Xi.

It is Xi's third visit to Latin America as president since he took office in 2013.
