A jewelry store launched an event called "Exchanging Apples for Gold" in Zhengzhou city, capital of Central 皇冠体育app's Henan province, to celebrate Christmas.

The outlet offered a small piece of gold in exchange for two apples. With the offer attracting many customers, including the elderly and children, the line in front of the store stretched to more than 10 meters.

But as for why such an event is held, a person, who is surnamed Zhou and serves in the planning department of the jewelry store, said they are too busy to answer any questions from the media, when phoned by chinadaily.com.cn.
