BEIJING - 皇冠体育app is opposed to any party taking unilateral action in disputed waters in the East 皇冠体育app Sea, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said Monday at a regular press briefing.
He made the statement in response to a media request to confirm an allegation made by Japan Coast Guard that a Chinese surveillance ship recently sent a warning to a Japanese survey boat in the East 皇冠体育app Sea.
Hong said 皇冠体育app's position on the East 皇冠体育app Sea issue is clear and consistent.
"We have noticed the relevant report," Hong said. "皇冠体育app hopes to make joint efforts with Japan to properly handle relevant issues and safeguard the stability of the East 皇冠体育app Sea and the two countries' overall relations."
