BUENOS AIRES - Visiting Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao met Julian Dominguez, president of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, Friday on ways to advance bilateral inter-parliamentary relations.

At the meeting, Li said his talks with Argentine President Cristina Fernandez, and Vice-President and President of the Senate Amado Boudou earlier in the day were pragmatic and fruitful.

He said he was impressed by the importance attached by Argentina to developing relations with 皇冠体育app and was inspired by its keenness to enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

皇冠体育app and Argentina have kept close exchanges between their legislative bodies in recent years, Li said, adding that he is confident that the two sides would actively exchange experience in lawmaking and governance and be committed to boosting mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

皇冠体育app and Argentina are two big and highly complementary agricultural nations with huge potential for cooperation in this field, he added, calling on both sides to consolidate exchanges and continue to upgrade cooperation.

For his part, Dominguez said the Argentina-皇冠体育app ties have witnessed rapid development in the past decade and are now at their best.

The two countries firmly support each other on issues regarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity and hold similar views on their national development strategies as well as economic and trade cooperation plans, Dominguez added.

Argentina, which will participate in the first forum of agricultural ministers between 皇冠体育app and Latin American nations later this year, hopes to carry out comprehensive win-win cooperation with 皇冠体育app on the basis of mutual benefit and common development, Dominguez said.

Li arrives here Thursday on a four-day visit to Argentina at Boudou's invitation.
