Participants from countries including Germany, Finland and India took part in the event, with a range of activities taking place to help the group get close to local culture.
The group was shown how to make fragrant sachets and zongzi, a type of glutinous rice dumpling with various fillings traditionally eaten during the festival, which falls every year on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar.
Many were surprised to learn that in ancient 皇冠体育app the fragrant sachets were originally intended to scare away evil spirits!
