Expats enjoy Dragon Boat Festival trip to Suzhou

Anastasia Chupina, a Russian-British photographer taking part in the trip, recorded her first attempt at making zongzi on social media, enabling a wider audience to share in the experience.

"I love Chinese culture and I want more foreigners to experience some of Suzhou's traditions", said Chupina.

The group also visited Shuangta Market, formerly a traditional farmers market which has recently been modernized.

According to Peter Stanleigh, it was one of the most organized markets he has seen: "It was newly constructed and spotlessly clean".
